Shape Up or Ship Out

I need to drop several sizes. My ever expanding waist line as caused my closet to shrink because a lot of my options don't fit me anymore. So, my new goal, lose all the weight I have gained by spring. Now, with every good weight loss regimine comes rewards, and I plan to do so handsomely with clothing and shoes for every 10 pound weight loss I realize.

I normally steer clear of the Longchamp online site for fear I will get sucked in, then suckered in, to buying a bag. The epitome of classic bag - Longchamp is a go to for all things elegant and honestly, I give big props to anyone that can make a nylon bag an "it" bag.

Which brings us to my new love.. the COSMOS bag. The perfect shape in a Cognac color that may have only come from a golden calf, this bag makes me want to pawn all of my belongings to purchase it.

Holiday Haircut...

So lately, I have been trying to grow my hair out. Every year I say that and then I get it chopped off to a very short bob with swoopy bangs. This year I am fighting the urge by getting my hair trimmed and adding some fun bangs. Here are some choices I am bringing to my hair dresser....

So recently, Mr.Wright and I have been watching episode upon episode of Mad Men. Along with the constant cocktails and unadulterated smoking I ADORE the clothing, the decore, the hair and, most importantly, the jewelry. Lately, I have been on a spending hiatus. I have not bought any clothing in literally weeks, aside from a Target dress that only cost me $12.80. So, in order to keep myself from going crazy, whipping out a credit card, and going on a spending spree, I look on the internet at the current clothing I want and plot how I will scoop them up as soon as they go on sale.

This method does not always work, but a girl can dream right?

The "Halloween Season" is one of my favorite times of year. Gooey candy, slasher movies, scary masks, and haunted houses simply put a smile on my face. I have not actually dressed up for halloween in a couple years and this year, after much deliberation ,we have decided on our costumes. Originially, I was going to go as Max from "Where the Wild Things Are" but after some research and a realization that I am still recovering financially from my unemployment/wedding I needed something that was going to be cheap yet clever. Introducing Carrie - the blood drenched, tourtured teenage girl with deadly telekentetic powers and an abusive mother.

Real Simple

Today is my first day off of work since August. After the wedding/friends weddings/new job my apartment, particularly my closet and "dressing room" have fallen into utter disrepair. Today, I am taking 2 hours this morning to fix this predicament. My goal for the next two weeks is to simplify my life, pare down the junk, and get back to the basics. I always feel myself yearning for something new and I think it is because I don't appreciate the things I have; hence the new mantra : SIMPLIYFY..SIMPLIFY...SIMPLIFY.

So I made an incredible snarky comment on some random person blog. They said they loved music and listed possible the worst band I had ever heard. Long story short I told them that they had horrible taste in music. I am a jerk right ... duh! The reason why I happened upon this person blog is I was trying out rediculous blogspot names in my browers (I have no life) and theirs popped up. Now, this is not a post to dog this person, although I have spent 1/2 of the post doing so, I promise it has a point..

So after leaving my snarky comment, I was interested in the one other post the person had done, so I clicked on it and saw this comment:

So So So So sorry for the long hiatus. I have had some things going on and have been a bit down in the dumps. Luckily, I am back, happy and ready to BLOG.

I had another ebay "fit" the other day. Luckily, I did not win anything. I am still bidding on one item - which I believe my friends will make fun of me for wearing. What is this item you ask?

A Guatamalan Skirt from 1972.

I am planning to pair it with tank tops for the weekend but I am also going to try to incorporate it into my work wardrobe by adding a perfect white oxford shirt and lots of beautiful beaded neckalces.
