I want to drink so much with you tonight I fall down...

NPR, as a result of the genius Bob Boilen, has a fantastic series called "Tiny Desk Concert". I listen/watch for them/discuss them religiously. This is where I discovered Zee Avi and The Swell Season.

Here is The Swell Season in action. Beautiful Music.

Quaterlife Crisis.

I am having a quaterlife crisis, three years too late. Awesome.

This is the image I got when I googled "Quaterlife Crisis" ...

Oddly, it made me feel better.
Guess that means that drinking a Cosmo at 11:15 AM is perfectly acceptable.

Now, where is that Absolute Citron hiding?

Treasure Chest of Beauty

And BTW, while you are at it. PLEASE go to Spanish Moss's site. It is vintage at its finest.

I am currently obsessed with this Jewel Tasseled dress. Delish...

I found them on Krystal Simpson's blog WhatIsRealityAnyway. Thank you a million times over KS!

When I am feeling down..

Lately, I have been feeling out of sorts lately. I am not sure why, how, or what to do about it. Simply put I am feeling down. When I am feeling down, I normally wallow in it for a bit and listen to a song or two on the ol' Ipod. Here are some of my "pick me up songs"; what are yours?

Joni Mitchell - California

This song reminds me of my mother. She loves Joni Mitchell and we have been listening to her together since I can remember. In fact, the entire Blue album reminds me of mom.

Stellastar* - Jenny

I have no sentimental reason why this is a happy song, I just simply and utterly love it. Have for years.

Born Ruffians - This Sentence Will Ruin

I jammed to this almost daily with my dear friend Molly (the jamming continues, but unfortunately, Molly moved, so the dancing has ceased). The thought of us awkwardly dancing together makes me smile. (This also translates to the song Rio by Duran Duran)

Kings of Leon - Talihina Sky

This song reminds me of my husband. We listened to this song constantly for the first six months we were together.

There you have it boys and girls.

Snow Days = Incessant Surfing

Romper from www.nordstrom.com

SO here in small town Virginia, we have bunches of snow on the ground. We basically have not left the house, except to trounce about in the snow, so needless to say I have had a bit of time on my hands. First I started planning my spring wardrobe via google search, but my mind turned to more recent needs; clothing for the honeymoon.

I found a few items I am going to pick up before January 11th and I put on item on my wishlist (more about that later).

I found some wallet friendly piece at Lulus. I love Lulus.

I also found THIS..the Diana F+ Delux Kit. I would love to capture all our treasured moments on that camera. I am not sure I can swing the almost $300 price tag during the holidays.

Grrrrr.

I love you diana.

Ebay: Don't Fail Me Now...

So a few posts ago I mentioned my infatuation with these : the Candela Over the Knee Boot.

I was trying to save up the money to purchase them, but decided instead to buy something LIKE them. I found then on ebay and I HOPE HOPE HOPE (keep your fingers crossed for me) that I love them just as much as their more expensive counterpart.

Jamericans.

Mr Wright and I are FINALLY going on our honeymoon in January. We had to postpone due to my work schedule, which at the time was a bummer but NOW in hindsight, a trip to Jamaica will be more welcome in chilly January vs. sunny September. There are so many things to do before the trip, including purchasing some much needed Cruise collection items. First on my list was a statement necklace that would spice up a solid long black dress for dinners.

Ask and you shall recieve... I found it.

Dirty Birdie...

I have been listening to this band for some time now, but I felt I needed to share them. I first fell in love with them on when I heard their song with David Byrne, Knotty Pine, and I have not stopped listening since.

Introducing... the DIRTY PROJECTORS!

Cannibal Rescue

Knotty Pine (the song will be later in the video)

Well... Hellllllo

I already have two pairs of eyeglasses that I wear around town. I rarely wear contacts during the week (although I should change that habit) so I need something that is really going to spice up my wardrobe. One of my fashion muses is Brad from the Rachel Zoe Project (Don't judge me) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE his glasses. Unfortunately, I can't shell out the $900,000 it would take for me to purchase these so I am looking for a cheaper alternative. In order to do so, I did a little research and realized that not only does Ray Ban make Wayfarer SUNGLASSES but ALSO eyeglass frames. I started stalking around the interweb and found the PERFECT pair; I might even get them in two colors.

Yellow Havana

Black

Oh and just for kicks, I want these.....
duh.
